International Student Application

Students should submit applications as early as possible. International students may apply directly to »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ District School Board International Student Program.

As a guideline, it is recommended that the application process begins five to seven months before the start date of school because the length of time required to process students visa application varies from country to country.

Application Submission Dates

Applications for 1st Semester will be accepted until April 1st of the previous school year.Ìý
Applications for 2nd Semester will be accepted until November 1st of the current school year.

Application Process

STEP 1: Complete and submit all required documents in the Application Checklist and Application Form. Submit your payment for the appropriate school year, as outlined in theÌý2024-25 Fee Schedule or the 2025-26 Fee Schedule (we accept wire transfer in Canadian funds).

STEP 2:ÌýUpon receipt of the completed application package, all documentation and the required fees, the Program Coordinator will review the application. Once accepted, the »ÆÉ«Ö±²¥ District School Board will email an official Letter of Acceptance.

STEP 3:ÌýApply to the nearest Canadian Embassy, Consulate or High Commission for a Study Permit. Present the Letter of Acceptance, the receipt for fees paid and any other documents requested by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

STEP 4:ÌýUpon approval of the study permit, make travel arrangements to arrive in Canada prior to the start of the program. Students should plan to be in Canada the week before school start for orientation or as required for any isolation period required by the Government of Canada.

Bring the following documents to the School Orientation:

  • The Study Permit issued upon the student's arrival in Canada
  • Passport
  • Custodian or Homestay contact information
